Patient Preparation Guidelines
| 1st day: |
| • Take light meals or soft diet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No fruits, vegetables or fibers. |
| 2nd day: |
| • Reconstitute the contents of one PICOPREP sachet in a cup of water approximately 150 ml. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Take the 1st reconstituted sachet at 8 am followed by at least five (5) 250 ml. of clear liquid. Take the 2nd reconstituted sachet is taken at 2 pm followed by at least three (3) 250 ml. of clear liquid. |
| • Follow a clear liquid diet: broth - no meat, soft drinks, tea/coffee (no milk or creamer) or clear juices. |
| • No fruits, vegetables and meat. |
| • Fasting after 12 midnight. |
| 3rd Day (day of the procedure) |
| • Omit breakfast but you may take your medication if any. |
| • May resume previous diet after the procedure |
For Pediatric patients (18 and below): NO PREPARATION
