Asian Hospital and Medical Center’s Asian Learning Institute (ALI) held its 2nd Postgraduate Course, titled “Inter-Professional Education and Interprofessional Collaborative Care Practice,” bringing together medical trainees, students, and consultants for a learning experience focused on cross-disciplinary teamwork and collaboration.

The course provided a platform for healthcare professionals and learners to exchange knowledge, share perspectives, and strengthen their understanding of interprofessional collaboration in clinical practice. Through discussions and shared expertise, participants explored how effective teamwork among healthcare professionals could contribute to improved patient care and outcomes.

Opening the program, Dr. Jose Acuin, Director of the Asian Learning Institute, emphasized the importance of continuous learning and collaboration in advancing healthcare practice. He highlighted the value of bringing professionals from different disciplines together to foster knowledge-sharing and strengthen patient-centered care.

The course was led by Dr. Madeleine Sosa, Overall Chair of the Postgraduate Course, who guided the initiative in promoting greater collaboration across healthcare disciplines.

Through strategic dialogue and the exchange of expertise, the postgraduate course demonstrated the importance of working together toward a common goal: delivering safer, more coordinated, and patient-centered care.

The initiative reflected the Asian Learning Institute’s commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities that strengthened professional development and encouraged collaboration among healthcare practitioners and future healthcare professionals.
