Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses real-time ultrasound imaging to guide a thin needle into a targeted lump or abnormal area to collect cells or fluid for laboratory examination. The collected sample is then analyzed to help determine the nature of the abnormality.
