An ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that uses real-time ultrasound imaging to guide a specialized hollow needle into a targeted lump or abnormal area to obtain small samples of tissue for laboratory examination. These tissue samples are analyzed by a pathologist to help determine the nature of the abnormality and guide appropriate medical management
