The Genesis Center at Asian Hospital and Medical Center is a dedicated maternity and gynecology facility committed to providing mothers and their families with a safe, comfortable, and clinically comprehensive birthing experience. Located on the 3rd level of the hospital, the center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — ensuring that expert maternity care is available at every hour, without exception.
The center's facilities are purpose-built for the full range of maternity care. First-class private birthing suites provide a calming environment designed to put mothers at ease during labor. These are supported by a dedicated ultrasound & triage area, a high-risk room, a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and two operating rooms equipped for Cesarean deliveries, D&C and minor OB procedures— giving the center the clinical infrastructure to manage everything from routine deliveries to complex, high-risk cases.
This commitment to maternal and infant welfare extends beyond clinical services. Asian Hospital and Medical Center is a recognized Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital, having received the designation from the Department of Health under the Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (MBFHI) — a global program of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund. This recognition affirms the hospital's active promotion of breastfeeding and rooming-in practices in accordance with Republic Act 7600, otherwise known as the Rooming-In and Breastfeeding Act of 1992. The initiative is implemented through the hospital's Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics, with both clinical and non-clinical staff trained to support and advocate for breastfeeding as a foundation of newborn health and development. The hospital also practices family-oriented labor and delivery, allowing expectant fathers to accompany and support their partners throughout the birthing process.
The center supports both principal delivery methods: normal spontaneous delivery and Cesarean section, whether planned or performed in response to clinical developments during labor.
Its gynecology and maternity care services extend well beyond delivery. These include fetal ultrasound monitoring, non-stress testing, Pap smear and management of maternal medical conditions. For preterm and high-risk pregnancies, the center provides Tocolysis to suppress premature contractions and Cerclage for patients with an incompetent cervix. Dilation and Curettage (D&C) is performed following miscarriage or abnormal uterine bleeding, and post-delivery tubal ligation is available as a permanent sterilization option immediately after childbirth.
