In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Asian Hospital and Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in collaboration with the Asian Hospital Charities, conducted an outreach activity for mothers in the community of Barangay Alabang in Muntinlupa City last May 10.

The “Alagang Asian Para kay Nanay” Buntis Day celebration included free prenatal checkups and consultation, ultrasound, and pap smear services. Discussions on women’s health and maternal care were also held at the event, with Dr. Valerie Guinto, Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology sharing insights and findings on the Importance of Breast Feeding, and Drs. Ramina Joy Villegas and Andrea Theresa Amores, talking about Prenatal Care and the Danger Signs of Pregnancy. There were 47 expectant mothers who were able to avail of the Alagang Asian services on this medical mission. This is a testament that Alagang Asian not only means integrated quality healthcare, but also translates to on-the-ground engagement that brings inclusion and compassionate care to Filipino communities.
