Anesthesiology

The Department of Anesthesiology is an integral part of Asian Hospital and Medical Center. The department provides comprehensive anesthesia services in the Main and Out-Patient operating rooms, the Obstetric Delivery Area (Genesis), the Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU), the Emergency Room Area, and supports procedures in areas which include, but are not limited to Radiology, Endoscopy Unit, Intensive Care Units, and Cardiac Catheterization laboratory.

Anesthesia services are provided by a group of qualified licensed physicians specially trained in anesthesiology for all general, regional, moderate and deep sedation and pain management procedures on a seven (7) day per week basis. Elective and emergency surgical procedures which require the services of anesthesiologist are covered by a daily duty schedule of anesthesiologist, seven (7) days a week.

In addition, the anesthesiologist shall assist in all cardiopulmonary resuscitations in the hospital. Neonatal resuscitation, however, is normally performed by a pediatrician, if available.
