Asian Hospital Promoted Liver Health Through World Hepatitis Day Activity

Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) observed World Hepatitis Day through an educational and health awareness activity titled “Simulan sa Atay, Tungo sa Mas Mahabang Buhay,” which highlighted the importance of liver health, hepatitis prevention, and early detection.

The activity provided participants with an opportunity to learn more about hepatitis and understand the importance of taking proactive steps to protect their liver. A key part of the event was the Hepa Lay Forum, which was led by Dr. Jose Obillos, Gastroenterology Fellow. The session provided practical information about hepatitis, including the value of awareness, prevention, and timely medical consultation.

Participants also took part in the Free Hepatitis B Screening, giving them an opportunity to take action and become more aware of their health status. The screening emphasized the importance of knowing one’s status, as early detection could help individuals seek appropriate medical advice and care when needed.
