Asian Hospital Charities, together with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, conducted a free lay forum and OB-GYN ultrasound screening for members of the Alabang community at the Barangay Hall Alabang, 3rd Floor, Liwasan ng mga Bayani.
The community-based initiative focused on promoting women’s health awareness while providing accessible screening services to eligible participants. The program featured a lay lecture on women’s health, giving participants an opportunity to learn more about important health concerns and the value of regular medical checkups and appropriate screening.
As part of the activity, free transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound services were provided for pregnant women. The screening offered participants access to diagnostic services while supporting the importance of proper prenatal monitoring and medical care.
Participants were also introduced to the Asian Hospital Charity Maternity Program and Bayanihan Services, which provided information on available assistance and services for eligible patients. The discussion helped increase awareness of healthcare support that could benefit members of the community who met the program’s qualifications.
The forum was led by Dr. Lily Rose De La Concepcion, Training Officer, and Dr. Valerie Guinto, Chair, with opening remarks delivered by Dr. Stella Marie Jose. Their participation helped facilitate the educational discussions and reinforce the importance of accessible women’s healthcare.
Asian Hospital Charities expressed its appreciation to Hon. Christine May Abas-Ding, Barangay Chairperson, the Barangay Alabang team, and all residents who participated in the activity.
The initiative reflected Asian Hospital Charities’ continued commitment to bringing healthcare education, screening, and support services closer to communities and promoting better health and well-being among women and families.
