The Philippine Association of Metabolic and Obesity Surgery (PAMOS) held its first-ever Pre-Congress Workshop and Live Surgery at Asian Hospital and Medical Center, hosted by the AHMC Asian Institute of Surgery.
The workshop was held last July 23, in partnership with the Philippine Society of General Surgeons (PSGS) and the Philippine Association of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons (PALES), and officially endorsed by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO). It featured world-class lectures and a live LSG procedure, led by:
IFSO Asia Pacific President Dr. Asim Shabbir and PAMOS President Dr. Miguel Mendoza.
Around 50 surgeons and nurses attended onsite from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao — with 104 more joining virtually, reflecting the growing momentum of metabolic and bariatric care in the Philippines.
