The Center for Women's Health at Asian Hospital and Medical Center is a dedicated facility committed to addressing the unique and evolving healthcare needs of women across every stage of life. Staffed by a team of compassionate and experienced OB-GYN sonologists, perinatologists, and clinical assistants, the center delivers a comprehensive range of non-invasive and minimally invasive ultrasound procedures and fetal surveillance services to both inpatients and outpatients — guided at every step by the core values of credibility, honesty, and sensitivity.

The center's diagnostic capabilities span two primary areas of care: gynecologic assessment and maternal and fetal health.

On the gynecologic side, the center conducts 2D and 3D ultrasound examinations to carefully evaluate the pelvis and accurately diagnose structural or functional disorders affecting the reproductive organs.

Available procedures include standard 2D ultrasound for real-time imaging of pelvic structures; transvaginal ultrasound for a closer and more detailed internal view of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and cervix; transrectal ultrasound for pelvic organ assessment through the rectal approach; and follicle monitoring to track ovulation and support couples seeking to identify their fertile window.

For more specialized uterine evaluation, the center performs Hysterosalpingosonogram (HSSG) to assess the uterus and fallopian tubes and Saline Infusion Sonohysterography (SISH) to evaluate the uterine lining with greater precision using a sterile saline solution.

Three-dimensional gynecologic ultrasound is also available, providing detailed volumetric imaging useful in detecting congenital anomalies, polyps, tumors, uterine adhesions, and the placement of intrauterine devices.

For maternal and fetal health, the center offers:

3D/4D ultrasound to capture still and moving images of the developing baby — recommended between the 26th and 31st week of pregnancy.

OB Doppler velocimetry measures blood flow velocity and direction in the uterine and placental vessels, supporting the assessment of high-risk pregnancies including those complicated by preeclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, or low amniotic fluid levels.

The Non-stress test — a non-invasive third-trimester procedure — evaluates fetal heart rate in relation to fetal movement without placing any stress on the fetus.

The Congenital Anomaly Scan, typically performed between the 18th and 26 week of pregnancy, assesses placental position, umbilical cord status, amniotic fluid levels, and the structural development of the baby.

The Biophysical Score combines the non-stress test with fetal ultrasound to provide a comprehensive assessment of fetal heart rate, breathing, muscle tone, movement, and amniotic fluid volume during the final trimester.
