Life-Saving “Ma. Nora D. Castro Fund” launched at Asian Hospital through an inspiring painting exhibit
The spirit of “Bayanihan”—the Filipino value of unity within the community and cooperation — was on full display at Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC), as they proudly inaugurated the “Ma. Nora D. Castro Fund” with a vibrant painting exhibit at the Main Lobby.
The exhibit showcased the treasured collection of Ms. Nora Castro’s paintings, each piece is a testament to her creative spirit and dedication to helping others. All proceeds from these artworks’ sales will be donated to Asian Hospital Charities, Inc. (AHCI), the hospital’s official charity arm. The funds will go directly toward aiding dialysis and stroke patients, helping ensure that those most in need receive the life-saving care and support they deserve.
Dr. Beaver Tamesis, AHMC President and CEO, graced his presence at the inauguration ceremony, along with Dr. Ma. Rosario Sevilla, AHCI President, and Mr. Salvador Castro, husband of Ms. Nora Castro, who represented the family. Esteemed members of the AHMC community, patients, and other special guests congregated to celebrate the opening of the exhibit and the meaningful cause behind it.
The establishment of the Nora D. Castro Fund reflected AHMC’s commitment to extending compassionate care and providing critical support to vulnerable patients, especially those battling chronic conditions. The fund embodies the hospital’s core values of empathy, generosity, and unity, offering a lifeline to individuals facing medical challenges.
