Senior Wellness Club Holds Dementia Symposium

The AHMC Senior Wellness Club held an activity on Understanding Dementia last December 2024. Members participated in an insightful discussion aimed at increasing dementia awareness and understanding, including its early signs and management. Psychologist Monika Mayugba and Psychometrician Sherilyn Perol shared their invaluable expertise towards a meaningful afternoon filled with learning, connection, and support for our senior community.

Asian Hospital Charities, Department of OB-Gynecology Support DZRH Radio Medical Mission for Moms
The AHMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, through the Asian Hospital Charities, participated in a medical mission held by DZRH Radio held last December 2024 at Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
The initiative offered free ultrasounds for pregnant women while promoting maternal health awareness. Its aim was to enhance access to quality medical care for underserved communities in the area.

The AHMC lobby was filled with holiday cheer with carolers who regaled staff, patients and visitors with heartwarming Christmas tunes from December 16 to 20, 2024. The lineup of talented performers included theWow Galing Carolers, Young Pinoy Musician Carolers, Las Piñas Boys Choir, AVB Performers and Youth Harmonic Ensembles.
Department of Ophthalmology Conducts 5th Postgraduate course
AHMC’s Department of Ophthalmology conducted its 5th Postgraduate course titled, “The Clear Cut: Focus on Phacoemulsification, Artisan Lenses, and LRI.” The event, held last November 2024, featured a hands-on lecture session at the Training Room, 6th Floor and an interactive Wet Lab Session at the Doctor’s Training Room, Tower 2.
This event provided participants with a deeper understanding of the fundamentals and techniques of phacoemulsification, the use of Artisan lenses in cataract surgery, and the application of limbal relaxing incisions (LRI) in refractive surgery.

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery held its 18th Postgraduate Course titled, “ENT Essentials 18: Partnering with the ENT MD for Enhancement, Rejuvenation, and Restoration” at the Tower 2 Doctor’s Training Room.
The course featured a hands-on workshop on fillers, followed by an online scientific symposium in the afternoon. Participants delved into advanced topics such as rhinoplasty, cleft lip and palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial cosmetic procedures, and non-surgical facial treatments.
Attendees earned Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units, further enhancing their expertise and skills in their respective healthcare fields. National Prematurity Day Celebrates AHMC’s Tiniest Warriors
AHMC celebrated National Prematurity Day last November 2024 with a day filled with learning, love, and connection. The event featured a specialized training session for NICU nurses, enhancing their exceptional skills in providing compassionate and expert care for the ward’s tiniest warriors.
The day concluded with a heartwarming NICU Reunion honoring the incredible milestones of our NICU graduates and their families. It was a heartfelt celebration recognizing resilience, strength, and the gift of life.

AHMC’s Christmas Display Wins Hearts and Awards

Asian Hospital and Medical Center secured 2nd place in this year’s Filinvest City Christmas Building Decoration Contest, with its joyful holiday display beautifully capturing the spirit of the season and spreading joy throughout the community.
The award was accepted by Jose Temple and Mafe Jore of Facilities Planning and Management Department, whose creative vision brought the festive display to life.
The winning entry, a dazzling spectacle of lights and festive decorations delighted visitors and passersby.
AHMC Recognized at First-Ever Safe Hospital Award for Level III

With its constant commitment to elevating patient safety and quality care, the Asian Hospital and Medical Center has been awarded as a runner-up in the first-ever Safe Hospital Award for Level III Hospitals.
Four-time JCI accredited hospital was chosen out of 39 submissions from 26 health facilities during the 45th Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines Inc.’s (PHAPi) Annual National Convention. The recognition likewise highlighted AHMC’s Medication Nurse Specialist Training Program in the Telemetry Unit.
