Asian Hospital and Medical Center Holds Joyful, Heartfelt Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) ushered in a festive holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony last November 4, held on the hospital grounds. The event began with a heartfelt holiday performance by the Asian Cancer Institute Chorale, followed by an enthusiastic dance number from the KM Dancers of Marillac National Training School for Girls.

AHMC President and CEO Dr. Beaver Tamesis, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jose Acuin, and HR Director Atty. Jose Celestino Torres delivered uplifting messages that emphasized unity, compassionate care, and hope for the year ahead.

The lighting of the Christmas tree was the centerpiece of the event. The glittering lights were a true labor of love by the housekeeping department, with support from the entire facilities planning and management team. The tree symbolized resilience and teamwork, representing the shared joy and commitment of the hospital family to spread cheer to patients, staff, and visitors.

Marketing and Patient Experience Director Hennesy Lou Miranda shared the schedule of upcoming holiday events before she introduced the night’s special guest, OPM artist and world champion Jed Madela, whose performance brought a memorable end to the evening.

The celebration was hosted by pediatrician Dr. Tere Ribano, nurses Xen Guimapang and Sally Valdez, and Assistant Manager for Patient Navigation Jaq Mangurali. Guests were also treated to traditional Filipino delicacies throughout the event, evoking a sense of nostalgia and the warmth of home.
