Spa is the first hospital-based spa for pregnant and lactating
women. The spa was conceptualized by obstetrician-gynecologist,
Dr. Rebecca Singson, who wanted to pamper women through their
pregnancy aches and pains as well as to support them through
their breastfeeding period. Many pregnant women, accustomed
to undergoing massage for wellness and relaxation when they
were not yet on the family way, are refused treatment—and
rightfully so. Massage during pregnancy, when done by untrained
hands, can lead to a miscarriage or preterm labor. ReBirthSpa
has specially trained therapists who can safely perform appropriate
massage treatments on pregnant women. Our pre-natal massage
can relieve experiences backaches, headaches, sciatica (pain
in the buttocks that shoots down the legs), and leg swelling—common
complaints among pregnant women. We also offer postpartum
and lactation massage as well as counseling for pregnant women.
Although
ReBirth Spa is geared towards pregnant and lactating women,
this hasn’t stopped non-pregnant women (even men)—whether
patients, relatives or friends—from availing of the
spa’s services.
