Thank you so much for all the assistance extended to us throughout the short visit at Asian Hospital. Although it was not a pleasant trip, traveling sick is no fun, it was indeed a wonderful experience at Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

I am most impressed by Dr. Anonuevo's invitation to the surgery (computer) room to show and explain to me Remi's ill coronary artery. He made me part of my wife's medical affair, which is very important to me. Dr. Barill, being the primary physician, did the same thing. He always address the discussion to me directly and also made me feel that I am taking part in Remi's medical decision.

The bottom line is that all the doctors, nurses and all other professionals were so wonderful and caring including the cafeteria personnel.

I look forward to visiting the Philippines again and when I do, I will make sure that I see you at Asian Hospital and Medical Center under different circumstances.

Thanks,

To Dr.Acuna & Dr.Castillo

Without these two doctors, my mother wouldn't be who she is today! AHMC is by far the best hospital in the Micronesian/Asian region.

Before packing and leaving home (Saipan), my mom was supposed to undergo a specific surgery at AHMC. However, upon arrival and several days of consecutive tests, doctors found a very specific yet lifetime problem with my mom. Mom underwent knee contracture release and adductor tenotomy which was then followed by a cervical laminoplasty (C2-C7) and a laminectomy of T1-T3 and T10-T12. After this major procedure was done, mom went thru bedside therapy for a couple of weeks. She did improve so much, and now she is starting to feel sensation on both of her legs.

I am just so thankful to these two doctors (Dr.Acuna & Dr.Castillo). And also to Editha C.Dizon, M.D. (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation). Marie Yvette Amante / Ma. Cecilia Gonzales (INTERNAL MEDICINE-ENDOCRINOLOGY)....

GOD BLESS ALL OF AHMC DOCTORS, NURSES, CLINICAL ASSISTANTS, HOUSEKEEPING, GUEST SERVICES AND ALL MY BUDDIES...the "ALARM" securtiy.

For Dr. Esmaquel, Head Nephrologist I would like to thank you for visiting me during my dialysis sessions at Asian Hospital. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Miss Maria Theresa Viernesa, Assistant Manager Critical Care and Emergency Services, whom I have been communicating since day one and have handled my inquiries and concerns very, very professionally, and since then she made it very easy for me to choose Asian Hospital. She is indeed a very nice, accommodating person. She is an asset to Asian Hospital. The job done to me during my dialysis sessions by her staff namely Tirso, one of the senior nurse and her point person, the nurses Melody and Arlene is one of the most efficient and excellent service I have ever received. They made my stay in the dialysis bed very relaxed. These guys are fantastic. They always have their soothing smiles for me. Thank you all for making my stay at Asian Hospital a very safe one.

For Dr. Larry Acuna, Orthopedic:

The chief-surgeon for spine injuries here in Berlin, gave you a very good reputation: He would have done my operation exactly the same way you did. Thanks again, for doing such a great job on me.

You have a very good hospital.

I never really liked hospitals and I didn't enjoy visiting one. Something about the sadness and sickness really turns me off. My uncle was admitted at room 813 just last week wherein he was in for several painful treatments. I was tasked to be his watcher and there was this instance wherein his iv was repeatedly dislodged. I didn't trust that nurses could be the ones to insert on him since his vein was really fragile. I was correct. The first insertion by his assigned nurse didn't turn out well. The nurse told me he would get a more experienced nurse to insert the iv. Then there came a smiling girl who immediately put us and my uncle at ease. She explained very competently how the insertion would be done and she also got feedbacks from us. She seemed young and I thought she, too, would fail, but with just 1 shot, she got it right. My family and I were really shocked.

Sometimes, even doctors fail to get it right the first time with my uncle, but with her, it was just one shot! After that she cleaned up the things she used and tucked my uncle to bed. I asked the nurse assigned to my uncle who that nurse was and I was told that she was their head nurse. I have to admit I was surprised. She was so humble and always smiling that I never thought she was the head nurse. From my previous hospital experiences, head nurses were strict and cold. But with her, she was very warm and intelligent. She patiently answered all our queries and was gentle with my uncle. I would like to commend her, Miss Tin Miranda of the 8th floor.

Because of her, my insight on nurses as "alalay ng doctor" vanished. I now see nurses as "wonderful people who make the sick feel good.” Also to Mr. Jino Hermoso of the 8th floor because he had been humble enough to admit that he could not do the insertion with just one shot and had asked help from Ms. Tin Miranda. Please extend my deepest thank you to the both of them. Please do commend them for a job well done. Please also inform their superiors of what these wonderful persons have done for my family. Job well done Asian Hospital!
