Asian
Hospital marks 4th annual bone marrow transplant survivors’
reunion
The
BMT survivors during their reunion at the Asian Hospital and Medical
Center.
Bone
marrow transplant survivors were the faces of true inspiration and
heroism as Asian Hospital and Medical Center celebrated its 4th
Annual BMT Reunion recently.
With
an apt theme, “Staying Alive,” BMT survivors
celebrated their love for life and their passion to help
others overcome the disease. The BMT survivors were accompanied
by their families, who were also honored during the reunion
for serving as pillars of strength for the survivors. |
“This
annual tradition celebrates your courage to live lives
full of life and renewed spirit, which truly gives inspiration
and faith to other patients as they fight their own battles.
This also celebrates our commitment and dedication to
help BMT patients survive through the latest BMT procedures
that only offer the promise of brand new lives,”
said Asian Hospital and Medical Center CEO Pamela Robinson
in her welcome remarks.
Highlighting the event was the awarding of 14 BMT survivors
with medals of honor symbolizing their courage and heroism
in bravely surviving the fatal illness and becoming inspirations
of hope to other BMT patients. |
