Endoscopy Services – Diagnostic and Therapeutic

The Endoscopy Services provides a full range of consultations and procedures in the care of digestive disorders and problems of the gastrointestinal system. Many of these procedures involve using an endoscope, a flexible fiber optic tube with a light source and magnifying lenses, to look into the gastrointestinal tract in order to diagnose and, in some cases, treat problems of the digestive system. Endoscopy procedures are used to discover the reason for swallowing difficulties, heart burn, bleeding, chronic indigestion, and abdominal or chest pain, among others.

A full range of diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures using video system is available in the Endoscopy Unit.

The procedures performed include gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP).

Both in-patient and out-patient services are available for patients.
